 When
Archon rolled around this year, I had to figure out a costume to wear.
Both Looy and Korul were retired and the big new suit I'd made --Formi--
is nothing if not displayed in the water. So I had a month or so
to make a new suit, something right for Archon. I also figured it
was time to get  my
pal there into the act since he plays host to me every year, so I did Ushio
N Tora.
Tora was a costume designed using all the simplest techniques I had. I made a new DIGITIGRADE leg design which allowed me full range of movement (including a jump roll) and I found a material which gave a visual baffle for Tora's wide head and large eyes.
The costume was not well received, in fact, it was totally overlooked, however, one or two people have said they liked the costume. I dunno, I consider this boy a flop, but maybe I can juice him up a bit. The mouth is so expressive, though. |
who
vaguely resembles a tiger, but he's not feline, which presented me some
difficulties in being in character. People expected meows and slinkiness
which is not in my nature, and I couldn't stop "ARFing" which was just
wrong.
